5 ways to help reduce the costs of learning how to fly

5 of 5

Flying is not a cheap endeavor, there is no sugar coating that. There are however ways to cut down the cuts.

Find your best instructor

Two people can have the same experience and yet come away with different stories of what happened?? There is no one size fits all. Ask around to see who is a good CFI (instructor), if you have friends that fly, and if you don't then interview in person at least 2 CFIs to see who will be a good fit. The fact that someone is an instructor does NOT mean they may be the best fit for you and your learning style.
