Signing up to FAASafety.gov will open another resource of information and if you want to be advised of free educational seminars in your area they will email you when they happen. There are a lot of online courses thru the this website too-worth a walk through it. Some notices are long and some are little nuggets of wisdom like this one , short and sweet.
What's all the flap about? Notice Number: NOTC2324 Never retract the flaps to correct for undershooting an approach since this will suddenly decrease the lift and cause the airplane to sink even more rapidly.
