If you are reading this you are probably interested in learning to fly. With all of the information that is available it can be overwhelming. I will address the process of what is required for you to get your private pilot license.
First let me start by saying if you take just a couple of lessons to see if it is something you are interested in, then you did way more than most. Maybe it will be something you are not interested in doing or maybe it will be (what I am hoping for). The worst case is you spend a couple of afternoons of flying around this beautiful area.
OK the nitty gritty.
